The industrial-grade ABS construction of the SplashDrone 4 is factory-sealed and air-pressure tested to be 100% waterproof, and can even withstand seawater. The motors are waterproof and even the internal electronics have been coated with a corrosion-resistant coating for an extra layer of protection.

Even though it can withstand the elements, the Splashdrone is meant to fly, not swim. However, if it does land in the water, you can rest easy because the SplashDrone 4 can float and has an automatic power flip. This feature lets the SplashDrone 4 automatically right itself if it lands upside down in the water.

Even the remote control floats. It's IP66 rated to be waterproof, withstanding everything from getting splashed to being rinsed off. The capable remote provides a built-in 2" display specifically designed to deliver essential flight telemetry data. It can also double as a Wi-Fi multi-point hotspot and the built-in GPS helps the SplashDrone come home. On a full charge, it can do all of this for up to eight hours.

The integrated GPS of the remote control allows the SplashDrone 4 to perform a series of tracking functions:

• Return to Pilot: The drone can track and return to the pilot, even if they are moving.
• Follow Me: With its optional camera pointing towards the pilot, it can follow at a constant angle from the front, side, or rear.
• Orbit Follow: It can orbit around a moving object at a chosen radius.

The Smooth+ feature helps you effortlessly capture shake-free professional video and stills with an optional payload. All it takes is a few knob twists and you can fine-tune the SplashDrone 4's roll and yaw.

The included 6600mAh flight battery conveniently slides into the drone's battery compartment and features intelligent internal power management. The system monitors power in real-time and protects the battery during charging and discharging, extending its lifespan.

Using the SDFly mobile app, you can log, plan, and record missions and flights, control the settings of an optional camera or other module in flight, and perform a variety of aerial maneuvers. In addition, an available API and SDK offer third-party software with the ability to gather data from the drone and integrate it with the aircraft. Below are some of the aerial maneuvers possible with the SDFly app:

• Cruise Mode: Automatically fly at a designated speed and direction.
• Tap to Fly: Autonomously fly to a selected location on the map at a predetermined altitude and speed, then hover in place to await further instructions.
• Waypoint Mission Planning: Select a series of waypoints on a map for the drone to follow, adjusting speed, height, hover time, and camera angle at each point.
• Grid Mission Planning: Connect up to 256 waypoints to fly over an area in a uniform grid pattern at a selected speed and interval.
